Monitoring and reducing our carbon footprint

We are the first IT company on the Czech market to hold a carbon footprint audit. We voluntarily adopted the ISO 14001 standard and, as part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility, also decided to closely monitor the impact of our company’s activities on the environment, including holding a carbon audit.

We know what our strengths are and where we have room to grow. Reducing our carbon footprint is a holistic process, which is why we consider our impact on the environment from every angle.

  • Efficiency in all things, great and small
    <p>As an IT company, we like having efficient systems in place. We recycle and regularly collect e-waste. We minimize paper consumption. All Cleverlance branches are currently based in energy-saving buildings. We feel strongly about using renewable energy, so our computers run on green electricity with a guarantee of origin.</p><p>We are interested in electromobility and purchased our first Škoda Enyaq in May 2021. We keep tabs on how full each Cleverlance branch is and manage our office size accordingly to avoid unnecessarily heating and cooling empty space. In a working environment, efficiency means respecting changes in work habits and adapting our use of space based on our teams’ needs. We encourage employees to travel to and from work in environmentally friendly ways, so we provide secure bicycle storage space at the office, for example.​<br></p> ​<br>
  • Adapting to more flexible work styles
    <p>​​​We want our employees to have fulfilling personal lives as well. We like meeting and sharing our experience face to face, but we also offer all employees the opportunity to divide their work week between the office and working from home. This lets employees find the right work/life balance, and fewer trips to and from work naturally reduces our carbon footprint.​​</p>​<br>
  • Helping hands and good works
    <p>We support non-profit organizations and projects that change people’s lives for the better. We donate, hold company-wide collections and promote initiative and good ideas from our employees.<br></p><p>In recent years we have supported local projects like <a href="https&#58;//www.dobryandel.cz/">Nadace Dobrý anděl</a>, <a href="https&#58;//archa-chantal.cz/">Nadace Archa Chantal</a>, <a href="https&#58;//www.pestra.cz/">Pestrá společnost</a>, <a href="http&#58;//www.pro-contact.cz/cs">pro-Contact</a> and <a href="https&#58;//www.portus.cz/">Portus Praha</a>.<br></p>​<br>
  • Education and inspiration
    <p>We consider the environment with every project we take on. We regularly hold lectures and workshops about sustainable lifestyles. Our employees take part in environmental initiatives like <a href="https&#58;//www.dopracenakole.cz/">Do práce na kole</a> (biking to work all year). We also plan team events focused on sustainability.<br></p>
