Vodafone and Cleverlance connect millions of people by using social networks

Cleverlance builds Vodafone Park on Cleverlance Community Platform

Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions and the telcom operator Vodafone have created a unique communication portal for Vodafone Park Internet users, the goal of which is to transfer mobile phone environments, including content, to the Internet.

Vodafone Park integrates services, such as call logs, SMS/MMS records or mobile phone contacts. Vodafone is developing this base in collaboration with Cleverlance to the social network for the communication of mobile phone users amongst each other, offering the possibility to connect with one’s friends, classmates, colleagues and family members. Users also have the option in the community portal solution to set up their own work space composed of different services and information sources that they choose from the catalogue of the applications. These include, for instance, personalised news, weather with the option of sending SMS, overviews of newly offered/requested real estate or other gadgets enabling the communication or display of content from other users or from other social networks.

The portal with community network properties depends on the Cleverlance Community Platform product developed by Cleverlance. It supports the world open standards Google Gadgets and Open Social API and has enabled Vodafone to continue to benefit from a wide range of web applications – gadgets, tools and systems that are created based on these standards.

The Cleverlance solution also allows for third-party systems to be integrated to the solution’s communication portal. A broad spectrum of services and functions of the community portal is offered via an open application interface. Third parties can thus directly address a community through their applications inside the portal solution and also have the opportunity to use mobile operator telecommunication services that are part of the application interface.
