Cleverlance group expects CZK 500 million turnover
In 2008, the Cleverlance group’s turnover reached CZK 712 million, this year turnover of CZK 500 million and rise in profit expected.
Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions and its two subsidiaries, AEC and TrustPort, operating as the Cleverlance group, achieved in 2008 in the Czech and Slovak republics a consolidated turnover of CZK 712 million. This represents a 15% year-on-year increase in turnover. And despite the current economic crisis, all three companies expect a total turnover this year of approximately CZK 500 million.
Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions, a supplier of IT consulting services and comprehensive SW solutions for the financial and telecommunications sectors, this year celebrated the ninth year of its existence. In 2008 it reached in the Czech and Slovak republics a non-consolidated turnover of CZK 650 million, compared to CZK 589 million the year before. Even with economic measures arising from the economic recession, Cleverlance was able to hold on to its leading position on the market, thanks to the company’s restructuring and smaller independent units, and expects a rise in profit this year as well. What’s more, the company offered current and new customers a new comprehensive product portfolio, particularly in the area of CRM, Call Center, Security and Social Networking Platforms.
“At the start of the year we focused on consolidation and “slimming down” the company to react to a reduced demand for customized SW development services and to maintain the company’s profitability. We met this goal and, starting with the second quarter of this year, were again receiving new projects – for instance, at the banks Česká spořitelna, Tatrabanka, Raiffeisenbank and the insurance company Česká pojišťovna," said Cleverlance’s CEO Jiří Bíba.
Cleverlance acquired AEC, a producer and provider of software and services for data security and anti-virus protection, in 2007. In 2008, AEC’s year-on-year turnover rose by 239 % to CZK 74 million. This year the company expects a profit increase of roughly 20%. The company’s major customers in the area of licence sales include the General Directorship for Customs, the bank Česká spořitelna and Czech Railways. It also carried out information security services projects for Czech Office of Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre and the Office for the Protection of Personal Information. This year AEC completed a number of order in various sectors, especially in public administration and finance. Major projects included those for ČEZ Energoservis, Volksbank CZ, the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, the insurance company Vojenská zdravotní pojišťovna ČR, the Energy Regulation Authority, the South Bohemian Fire-fighter’s Brigade and the Slovak bank Poštová banka.
In March 2008 the company TrustPort, a.s. was created by a splitting off the development division from AEC and is also part of the Cleverlance group. The products of this major producer of security products for private and corporate customers are among the best in the world (e.g. TrustPort Antivirus, TrustPort PC Security) and have received several awards. Trustport has a turnover of CZK 15 mil. in 2008. It continues to successfully sell its products in new regions – e.g. in Great Britain, Asia and Latin America.
