Cleverlance begins pilot project of collaboration with the private College of Information Management and Business Administration

Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions works with the Collection of Information Management and Business Administration in database and database systems tuition.

Cleverlance began its collaboration with VŠMIE (College of Information Management and Business Administration) during the winter semester this year. Cleverlance specialists prepared the content of its educational programme for databases and database systems. In designing these courses, they drew from both theoretical findings as well as their own daily experiences on projects with Cleverlance’s major clients. Students thus have the chance to acquire theoretical knowledge from specialists who have acquired it from actual experience, i.e. experience that they'll actually be able to draw from in their future work. This is the very mix of theory and practice that future employers will expect.

“Cleverlance opted for this form of collaboration with the aim to help improve the integration of the academic world with that of the real needs of companies operating on the Czech market," said Denisa Tomanková, Cleverlance's HR Manager. "Companies should shoulder part of the responsibility and activities in training, developing and educating specialists who later can become potential employees. If this form of collaboration proves effective, we won’t limit it to databases, but will expand to include other areas. We'd be happy to help VŠMIE prepare top-notch specialists who will succeed in the IT world.

"From the start up of our college we’ve been aware of the importance of connecting university education with practice. Since we want our graduates to be ready to contribute to companies immediately upon leaving school, we can't afford to isolate them from practical work and to create study plans based solely on theoretical findings. If we want our graduates to work in top companies, we need to know what these kinds of companies needs and require from their employees. This especially applies on the ICT labour market. We welcomed Cleverlance’s offer for we believe that they will provide the school with the necessary know-how resulting in the satisfaction of all three sides – VŠMIE, Cleverlance and especially our students," said Radek Řechka, VŠMIE director and finance officer.

VŠMIE is a private college that has been open in the capacity of a university since 2002. The school features an accredited bachelor studies Business Administration and Management programme with classes offered in Applied Information and Business Administration.  More information on VŠMIE can be found at: http://www.vsmie.eu/
