Cleverlance introduces on market new Cleverlance Information System product – an IT Governance solution

The Cleverlance Information System is conceived as an open, easily integrable modular system designed for companies with mid-size and large IT departments. This product can be configured and adapted individually according to the customer’s needs.

Prague, Oct 13, 2004 – Cleverlance has announced its new Cleverlance Information System (CIS). The use of CIS yields numerous advantages, namely an overall higher efficiency of IT processes. This allows for a significant convergence of a company’s IT strategy and its business strategy, for improved internal monitoring of IT activities and costs. CIS also provides the option of presenting the efficiency and quality of IT in “real time”, the creation of processes for reducing total costs in IT, the consolidation and communication of IT requirements throughout the organization, non-stop assessment, management and optimising of IT processes and their impacts on the company’s business objectives.

Each company can be specified as an entity that performs a certain group of processes, whereas the company’s main goal is to maximise revenues from costs incurred for running these processes. Most IT departments or companies generate their revenues through project activities provided to customers, regardless of whether they’re external or internal. Yet these projects are rarely viewed in the way processes are. The procedural view on projects enables the joining of an effective monitoring of resources, inputs and outputs from both groups of processes (main – project and support – routine). This connection will provide a basis for the optimising of these processes and also yield numerous significant advantages.

“Instruments for process management are used for these purposes. I believe that CIS is the right solution for companies with mid-size and large IT departments, a solution that will assist them with IT Governance. We use it ourselves at Cleverlance with the utmost satisfaction,” said Jakub Dosoudil, Managing Director, Cleverlance.

The Cleverlance Information System is composed of the following modules: Human Resource Management, Project Management, Resource Management, Costs Control, Support&Knowledge Base, Release Management, Workflow/ Demand Management, Document Management System, Reporting and Administration.

In addition to supporting the CIS product, Cleverlance also provides consultancy services in the area of IT Governance. Cleverlance thus enables the customer’s existing systems to be utilised as well, and is always prepared to design for the customer the most effective solution, which can also consist of an ITG solution from Mercury, with whom Cleverlance works in the form of a partnership.

“We built the entire system on the Microsoft .NET platform thanks to which we were able to create an open and robust system that is smoothly expandable and utilises state-of-the-art multi-tier technology,” said Aleš Macoun, .NET Solution Architect, Cleverlance.
