Cleverlance once again places on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 as the second fastest growing IT company in the Czech Republic. Company turnover in services exceeds CZK 500 million. At year's end the company AEC is acquired, thanks to which Cleverlance is able to vastly expand its portfolio of services to include information systems security. Cleverlance's staff headcount exceeds 500.

In the view of SUN Microsystems, Cleverlance has established itself as the leading supplier of multi-tier solutions on the J2EE platform in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The prestigious magazine Inside names Cleverlance the fastest growing Czech developer company and also ranks it among the 12 leading candidates with the greatest potential for significant future success.

As with numerous other companies, Cleverlance is affected by the crisis in the dot-com industry on European markets that resulted in an emphasis placed on customers within the Czech Republic. Thanks to its prior experience from successful international projects unique at that time on the Czech market, Cleverlance is awarded the contract to develop the first-ever commercially successful solution on a J2EE platform in the Czech Republic. Users of this system number at this time in the hundreds of thousands.

Cleverlance’s greatest successes include becoming the first company of its kind in Europe to obtain Hewlett-Packard’s certification for application servers and finishing an impressive third place in the Berlin Days international competition organized by European chambers of commerce.
